Lorenzo pole in silverstone

Jorge Lorenzo took pole position after beating Randy de Puniet in the last minute qualifying session. Meanwhile, Dani Pedrosa had an incident, toppled from his motorcycle.

With a time of two minutes 3.308 seconds, Lorenzo won this session at Silverstone on Saturday, and will to start on pole position in the race tomorrow.

The Spaniard, which is leading the standings, was involved tight battle with de Puniet and finnaly can beat his rival best lap in the last sector.

De Puniet’s latest attempt to seize the pole end is failed because he had a crash and had to end the session by walking. But at least he will start second with only 0.126 seconds behind Lorenzo.

Pedrosa had a bad luck in qualifying session was because of incidents at the end of the session. He was thrown from his motorcycle, and got injured. He even need help from the medical team to leave an arena. His Honda suffered damage due to hit the guardrail.

Pedrosa Teammate, Andrea Dovizioso, ranked fourth, followed in succession by Nicky Hayden, Casey Stoner, Ben Spies, Marco Melandri, Marco Simoncelli, and Colin Edwards.
