Rossi feels like his having a treasure

Its been a long time for Valentino Rossi to take the first podium in the first race of a new season. That’s why the results in Losail, Monday (12/4/2010) early morning local time, so very special for him.

Rossi has become the 2010 Qatar MotoGP champion. Stoner is one of the factors that make this thing happen when Casey Stoner is crash while leading the race – a position which was then take over by Rossi and remain in front until the end. This give Rossi a huge advantage in this season championship poin.

He managed to dominate the Losail qatar race until the end, and beside that taking the first podium also a great break for him since he never done it since 2005.

In 2006, the series premiere season at Jerez, Rossi could only finish in 14th position. Not a great achievement for The Doctor who then end the season in runners-up position.

Since 2007 until the 2009 season, the series premiere held in Losail MotoGP start. As already known, Stoner was never absent from the top of the podium during the three seasons.

Thus, Rossi’s victory at the Qatar MotoGP in 2010, this time not only end the domination of Stoner, but also make him on top position on the championship poin.

And this quite remarkable for his team, Yamaha, because Jorge Lorenzo managed to finish behind Rossi to record a one-two finish for the Fiat Yamaha team. “A good result to start the season, for me and also for the Yamaha team.”

“Winning one and two more, and (for me) 25 points on this track like a trasure for us in the championship. I think since 2005 I’ve never won the first race, so we will try to continue like this,” Rossi straightforward fun at Reuters .
